I can assure you we are not! We had an unoffical meeting during July and will be back with the next official meeting at Rachels House on 27th August from 7pm. Any questions do not hesitate to contact us!

This months meeting held at Wendy's in Forest Lakes was a fantastic evening, with Wendy demonstrating how simple making your own natural beauty treatments can be. We watched in awe as Wendy whipped up a batch of honey lip balm for us! Containing goodies such as cocoa butter and vitamin E it is a real treat and lasts on the lips for ages. Wendy has also said that anybody wanting some can let her know before the next meeting and she will bring some along with her. It was a double deal evening with Fay bringing along her snazzy Cricut machine and demonstrating how it takes away the necessity and pain of fussy cutting!

Discussion of the role of the UWA with supportive, friendly, tutorial elements included in its ongoing form. (the Role of Tim Holtz, Wendy said I had to write this!)

Discussion of the blog, Barbara has purchased the domain name, we talked about starting a website, with a support forum, requests and classifieds. If anybody has any thoughts or ideas on this please let us know.

Size of group was discussed, it was felt that this is the groups inaugural year and that after the first 12months the group will be able to expand exponentially. With this in mind we have started a discussion around ongoing interests, with future goals and ambitions, and the ironing out of kinks.

We have started to discuss a library lending system and are looking into how to run it and what it would involve, if anybody has further ideas please share!

We talked about putting a list of members birthdays up on the blog to enable sharing of birthday cards, and warm squashy feelings! How do you all feel about this?

The next monthly UWA meeting will be CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Christmas in July will be held at Fay's on the 16th July, starting during the afternoon and continuing through into the evening. Sending of birthday cards, maybe putting list of birthdays on web, sending of cards.

Secret buddy cards are still going ok, with participation being optional. This months theme is Christmas.

Fay has her slippers on! and has a nice Cricut suitcase. Barbaras slippers look like cookie monster! Wendy's house is awesome.

Apologies of Absence from Wendy (Dirty Weekend!!)

It was discussed that we should aim to hold the monthly UWA meeting on the 3rd Saturday of each month, to enable planning.

The next UWA meeting will be held at Wendy's house with a pampering theme based on homemade pampering goodies.

The July meeting will be held at Rachel's house where she will teach you to make wine glass charms.

The August meeting will be held at Kylie's.

Now that I have started taming some of that chaos that is my house I have finally found my camera cord so I could upload pics onto the blog.
I had to wait for my back to get  a bit better  - picking everything up off the floor with a plastic grabby claw all day just isn't as fun as it used to be ;)

During the latest meeting it was decided that a small portion of our get together should be in a formal (ish) meeting stylee. It was decided that heading the committee as president/chairwomen would be Barbara, Treasurer was given to Wendy as she is a banker. Secretary is me - Rachel (Funkibubl).

Therefore the minutes of the meeting are as follows

It was discussed and decided that a small fee payable each month at meeting, to assist with purchasing materials was not unreasonable and decided upon at $5 each payable to Wendy who will control the piggy bank.
Secret Buddy cards were overall a success, with all present choosing to participate again. This time around though if we could all please bring the card we receive to the meeting.
The UWA blog was discussed and Barbara added Wendy and myself as administrators, also discussed was the idea of adding a list of members and their skills. This item is for continued discussion and improvement all comments welcome.
A tools library was discussed, with Barbara already having a very stylish personal catalogue available for members to look through, I already decided I will need to Cuttlebug some scary Halloween cats.
